Donations from Twitch?

    Hello friends,

I do not use Twitch and am not familiar with it. I work for a Canadian non-profit organization.

I've had a donor reach out, and she writes:

So my house hold streams video games at night and are setting up donations from viewers that can happen at any time (or not happen, it's always a gamble). No matter what amount we get, we want %15 of it to go to the OHS. It could be daily, weekly, monthly, who knows. All depends on the crowds. Is there a way to set that up automatically from Twitch? Simply because it will be so random I can't guarantee a certain amount on certain days.

I've reached out to Twitch and I've had no response. Is anyone familiar with Twitch, and/or donations from Twitch users who can help me out?

    Thank you!

    Hello!

I would check out extra-life.org as an example of people streaming on Twitch and viewers donating to the Children's Miracle Network. The only thing is with your example your donor wants to do 15% of what they are getting to go to your organization and I'm not sure if/how it could be done. The only way I can think of is for the donor to collect all of their donations and at the end of their stream take 15% of it and make a donation themselves to your organization. Now if they want to setup a donate button on their Twitch channel and link it directly to your organization's donation page that can be done.

    Hi,
Here is a good case study of how Twitch can be used.  We will be publishing a How To on our research platform in March.  I will share out as soon as it is up.
