A group for those in nonprofit IT decision-making roles to connect with peers and share best practices. This Technology Decision Makers group is for nonprofit IT or MIS Directors/Managers as well as CIOs and CTOs to connect with their peers and share best practices. Topics for discussion include, but are not limited to: hardware and software management, product reviews, emerging technology, best practices, collaborating effectively with other departments, and management conundrums. Membership is restricted to IT staff at nonprofit organizations.

    We're working with a nonprofit client that is in need of a Learning Management System.  They have a lot of domain-specific training modules that people need to take to maintain certifications etc. and putting it into LMS will allow much better tracking and credentialing.  What they currently lack are training modules for more generic items in the HR space, so we are looking for a place where they can acquire content on these topics to add to their LMS to make a complete training / tracking system;

    All Employees:

    • OSHA
    • Sexual Harassment/Non-Discrimination and Anti-Retaliation
    • Compliance and Ethics


    Team Leads and up:

    • FLSA- overtime rules, prohibition of working off the clock; compensation, etc.
    • Performance Management- how to write a review
    • Employee Handbook- understanding the basics
      • Coaching
      • Discipline and Termination
      • Types of Leave
    • Worker's Comp- when/how to report a claim/ what does this mean for an employee

    We are looking for vendors we can purchase these from or open source versions of this type of material.  Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
