We are a small professional specialty society (501c3) with @ 1,700 physician members and a large public/patient constituency (10,000+) and we have not yet implemented a text-to-donate program.

I would be curious to know if others have implemented and experiences, outcomes, roi.

Also, current scenarios for this type of program and options.

    Appreciate your feedback.

You can definitely implement text-to-donate technology. It allows the donors to directly reach out to your organization by simple text messaging app, thus you can simply raise your fundraisings. There can be many benefits of this technology:

    • It helps Raising Funds Swiftly with just a few clicks by texting.
    • It helps you to Gathering your Donor Data efficiently, by collecting their names, phone numbers or email addresses.
    • The information which your donors share above is Highly Secured by Strict Safety Standards for Data.
But it has some limitations associated with it making it a little difficult to use:

    • It is difficult to establish the Recurring Donations, can be done in the donor interface but it can't be accomplished over SMS.
    • It is hard to Manage the Payment Methods via text messages .
So, looking at these cons of this technology, you can look for other options which has been helping Non-Profits to help increase their fundraisings, like SALESFORCE.

    • Salesforce can help you in identifying new donors, organize your donations and standardization of donor processes by automating routine tasks. It consists of work process flows and data-cleaning tools.
    • It gets you a complete picture of your donors, volunteers or clients in one place including activity history and events attended, or any custom information. It allows you to know what your supporters like, thus building stronger and longer-lasting relationships.
    • It customizes objects and workflows to meet your specific organizational process and effectively managing your grants.
    • It allows you to easily post new events and managing the event calendars.
I am also sharing the link of the whitepaper on how to boost up your fundraisings:
