Hey have you heard this one?

Do you guys have a spare laptop?

How do I work from home?

How do I phone in to this conference call?

Can I get a second monitor sent to my house?

I've heard this one at least 3 times now:

"I went by the office and grabbed my wireless keyboard and mouse but it's not working at home."

Did you get the receiver that was plugged into your docking station?  I didn't think so.

I had someone ask me how to plug in a mouse yesterday.

Oh, the things we take for granted....

May I nominate one or all of you for veneration?  You are earning sainthood with each call.

Yes, I know I'm in trouble when...

    * I find myself looking for a 3.5" drive unit to read the box
full of floppies found in the bottom of the file cabinet.

    * And then I find myself looking for an old 32-bit desktop in
the garage storage shelves because everyone in the office is
    working on 64-bit laptops.

    * And no, the computer I found (that still works) has the old
mouse & keyboard plugs and no USB ports.

    * And please don't ask what version of Window$ it's running. :-o
Even Linux has stopped supporting the floppy drive.
And I KNOW I have a reader around here somewhere for that old
    Knoppix CD.
