Welcome to the Nonprofits and Data online community group! We (Stacy Clinton, Emilio Arocho, and Janice Chan) are the co-organizers and we're excited to meet you! There are all sorts of smart, curious and skilled people in this group – and a broad array of nonprofits, data, and ways in which we use data to make the world a better place.
Please introduce yourself! Here are a few ideas to get you started, but feel free to say whatever you would like the group to know!
Stacy, Emilio, and Janice
P.S. This is a new introductory thread, but you can learn more about who else is in the group by looking through the previous intro thread.
Hi Katherine, welcome! I also work in mental health & social services (foster/adoption, parent and provider training).
Curious, do you have to interact/administer your org's Electronic Health Record? I've been doing that at mine, thankfully the team is growing and our QA Manager is carrying more of the weight.
My name is Carrie Simmons from Brattleboro, VT. I am the owner and creative brand strategist at New Ground Creative. NGC gives mission-driven nonprofits their competitive edge through brand awareness and authentic messaging.
We use data to improve the ways we talk about the work we do, to get a better sense of our clients' experience working with us, and to inform some of our internal processes (productivity, project management, communications). I'm excited to learn about sharing effective data resources and practices.
If I had a walk up or entrance song, it would be "Colours," GroupLove.
I look forward to building connections with you all and maybe meeting some of you in person at the conference coming up in the spring 2019!
I'm happy to help and support anyone in any way possible.Don't hesitate to reach out!
