Hi all,

One of the introduction prompts in the 17NTC forum asks attendees to share their recent wins. The responses are amazing. Each time I read one I do a little fist pump, LOL, or learn something new. Let’s keep that awesomeness going in the larger NTEN online community with a regular wins thread.

Get a promotion? Give a great presentation? Write an awesome blog post? Solve that problem that was bothering you all week? Tell us about it. Let’s celebrate the good things.

In my new job, all of the systems I'm training people on were built in house and thus I am learning the systems in addition to the curriculum and everything else associated with a new job.  But I'm 3.5 months in and did my second solo training this week, and I was able to answer most of the questions posed during open lab (like office hours), so that was exciting!

Thanks for this positive forum! I have two pretty big win's to share – we are getting to redesign our website and I am getting a second staff for digital and online work in our next fiscal year. A large part of this is thanks to being in the Pilot Program for the Nonprofit Technology Professional Certificate and I was able to show my manager how important investing in technology and digital is.

Hooray! Happy Monday!

I'm working on a new series of videos on Excel's Power Query. Last night finally got motivated and recorded 48 minutes of raw footage. Today I'll start editing it.

Hooray for inspiration, Oz! I just recently watched one of your videos--I think it was about v lookups. Thanks for always sharing your knowledge!

Hi I just today finished an advanced graduate course on international nonprofits, cranking out two papers in two days, logging in 10-12 hours a day and consuming a record amount of coffee. It wasn't pretty but it's done. Now hopefully I can have more time to hang out with you all!
Study hard

Our team put together a great guide to the Management Liability concerns faced by non-profits.

We'd certainly like feedback and to understand any additional risk/insurance related questions you have.

Best,
Maxime

Ariel, congrats on finishing your course!!!! That's got to be a big weight off your shoulders (until the next deadline, at least). We're so grateful that you choose to give some of your precious free time to volunteer as a moderator here in these forums.

Maxime, thank you for sharing this great guide. I regularly see insurance-related questions in these forums. I'm sure folks will appreciate it. (PS I've often wondered if NTEN would do well with an Operations forum.)

Kristy! It's SO awesome to hear that NTEN's Certificate program helped you with these amazing wins. You'll have to keep us abreast of your website design project. The NTEN community loves us a good case study.

Thanks so much for contributing to this thread, everyone! I sincerely appreciate your willingness to share. I'm going to close this thread now but we'll have another win party on Friday.
