Facebook Ad Manager - admin change

  • 1.  Facebook Ad Manager - admin change

The person who has posted all of our Facebook ads is leaving our organization. Soon she won't be an admin on our page anymore. After she's no longer an admin, will we still be able to see the creative and the stats for all the ads she posted? If you have any answer to this, please LMK!

She needs to grand admin access to someone else who has their own personal Facebook page. If she does this before she leaves, you can test it to be sure that all access is transferred, and it would be a good idea to change the credit card information as well.

It's not difficult to download the historic stats from the Ads manager, so you can also have access to that information to distribute among others.

    Hope this helps!

As long as she assigns someone else as the admin then yes, everything will continue running as usual and historic data can still be pulled. The new admin should also be sure to remove the old one so she no longer has access to the page.

Thanks, @Ariana Estes and @Tricia Maddrey Baker. Turns out that the old Ads account belonged to our soon-to-be-departing employee's Facebook Profile. It didn't belong to our organization's Facebook page. So no one could remove her as an admin - not even her! We are in the process of creating a Facebook Business Manager account and using it to create a new Ad Manager account that will be owned by our organization. After that's done, we'll export the data from the old Ads account and ask the soon-to-be-departing employee to delete the account altogether.

I'm curious - who's using Business Manager? Is anyone else using an Ad Manager setup that's tied to an employee's personal Facebook account?

Oh yeah, that stuff is tricky and non-explanatory when it's set up to let people know there IS a way to keep it transferred between employees!
