The Data community has a call coming up to discuss data documentation. We're starting with the question, "What does your organization do to document your data management processes?"

All are welcome to join! Feel free to bring your questions or just listen in.

There will be two ways to join the call:

    1. Go to our online conference room, add your name and click "Join" or log in. Then click "My Computer" from the audio options menu. Open a separate tab in your browser and open the collaborative notes. OR,
    2. Use 866-853-1888 (no PIN needed) to dial in with a phone line. If your computer is available, open your browser and open the collaborative notes.

Hi everyone!  Do you ever feel that processing and massaging your data is taking over your work life like kudzu? Conversely, have you been ignoring data that you know you could use, because it would take forever to set up to start tracking it correctly? Join our March 2018 webinar to learn how your nonprofit can harness big data and business intelligence with Microsoft Power BI.

Microsoft has made its Power BI suite available at an affordable price for nonprofit organizations.  Community IT Innovators now has a few clients using Power BI and can share our experience. With minimal ramp-up, your organization can start to visualize and analyze your key data from all systems – including website and social media analytics, CRM, constituent communications platforms like Mailchimp and Constant Contact, and other data sources – in an easy-to-digest format.  In this webinar we will review the capabilities (and limitations) of Microsoft Power BI and how it can be used by nonprofits to better understand all types of data. Community IT Innovators are always agnostic in making recommendations – the purpose of this webinar is to explore Power BI, not to promote it.

What is Power BI? From Microsoft "Power BI is a suite of business analytics tools that deliver insights throughout your organization. Connect to hundreds of data sources, simplify data prep, and drive ad hoc analysis. Produce beautiful reports, then publish them for your organization to consume on the web and across mobile devices. Everyone can create personalized dashboards with a unique, 360-degree view of their business. And scale across the enterprise, with governance and security built-in."

Want to know more? Please join us March 21st for a lively discussion and demonstration to get you up to speed quickly.

    Hi Everyone,

Wanted to let you know about a free webinar I'm hosting with Blackbaud and the fabulous Caroline Stuart-Freas this Thursday. Hope you can listen in! Details below. Thanks, Adva.

    Create Your Advocacy Fundraising Moment
    Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. ET
    Register here: https://hello.blackbaud.com/10825_GrassrootsGalvanizer2018_WSEM_Registration.html

The sharpest fundraising gains last year were from issues in the policy forefront. While the political landscape has set the stage for increased philanthropy, staying top of midterm election and competing issues presents a serious challenge.

This webinar offers a framework of how to create your own fundraising moment around action-oriented campaigns, and break through the noise. In this webinar you'll learn how to:

+Create key aspects of action-oriented communication
+Prime your audience to give with powerful calls to action
+Optimize your digital communications with a few proven tricks
+Include "moment" within a traditional fundraising plan

We'll provide tons of examples from other nonprofits to dramatically improve their fundraising results.
