1.  Have you ever done a survey?

Posted Apr 20, 2017 13:38
We are thinking of doing a survey mainly focused on our print magazine.  It is a "big lift" and we publish it 3x a year. The full content is also put online (another big lift).  (inside.salk.edu)

We want to make sure our print efforts arebeing 'consumed'.  Has anyone done a survey?  Online or phone?  I have received a quote from one company and would like a few more.
thanks,
Liz

My colleagues at MMS Education have a great deal of experience in surveys, particularly measuring impact & engagement.  Would be happy to connect you to discuss your specific project, offer some thoughts, and propose a set of options.  You may contact me directly and I would be pleased to make the intro.

We will periodically send out surveys for various efforts.  We design and distribute the survey ourselves via SurveyMonkey.  An account with SurveyMonkey is pretty cheap and has some decent design features.  If you have the bandwidth and would rather not go the consultant route that may be a good option for you.  For your online site, if you are looking for indicators of traffic you could measure it via Google Analytics.  The data you collect from there would be a good indicator of how effective the site is.  Hope this helps and good luck.

Elizabeth -

In my other incarnation as a market research analyst, the firm I work for has used VuPoint Research for surveys for probably 20 years: VuPoint Research. The person I deal with there is Nora Hogan. (She would know my name associated to Architectural Research Associates, not through my non-profit work.)

We are just delving into this realm ourselves. We are using SurveyMonkey with links posted via email, Facebook & Twitter as well as on an iPad for direct customer input at our shop. We also happen to have a grant right now that is funding some focus groups to help us with our branding, and that is being handled by a local marketing firm.
