Jim Carter III is passionate about giving nonprofits and change-makers the tools they need to succeed and thrive. Jim co-founded Giving Assistant, a Certified B Corp which transforms everyday shopping into charitable action, where he's currently the VP of Engineering. Since 2014, his team has raised $5 million for over 26,000 Nonprofits. He is the technical arm of the special advisory council to Pencils of Promise, and has impacted development in global literacy in Guatemala, Ghana, and Laos. A software engineer for more than two decades, Jim most recently worked with The Pineapple Fund to assist in distributing over 10% of their $60 million fund to nonprofits via Bitcoin. Jim is faculty with NTEN where he teaches creative methods for charities in tech. He's an Eagle Scout, entrepreneur, husband and father of two, public speaker, trainer in the industry, and rocks a mustache with pride.
