We are pleased to have Gabryella Desporte, mentor and program coordinator at local nonprofit Latinitas, speak about engaging communities of color and making programming more inclusive. Gabryella is one of the prestigious NTEN and Google Fiber Digital Inclusion Fellows, a national program of emerging leaders. The fellowship program helps them hone their skills and develop new and enhanced digital literacy programs for adults.

Born and raised in Austin, Gabryella is a Program Leader at Latinitas, a nonprofit that empowers girls using media and technology. Gabryella is passionate about Digital Inclusion within the community they serve because they have seen firsthand how technology-based literacy benefits people of all ages, and in collaboration with NTEN, they hope to serve even more people and give more access to skills they can use to their advantage. They currently hold a B.A. in Latin American Studies and Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin. Read more about Gabryella in GivingCity Austin.
