Lanette is the Communications and Donor Relations Manager for Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth, the most comprehensive homeless youth service provider in Southern Nevada. After working in corporate communications at one of the largest trade organizations in the country, Lanette decided to pursue her passion for nonprofits and utilize her education to assist the under-served populations which she had already regularly volunteered. Along with volunteering with many different organizations and fighting for many different causes throughout Southern California and Southern Nevada, she has worked in the communications field for the last five years, specializing in marketing, event planning, communications strategies, digital marketing, event marketing, community relations and engagement, donor development, and fundraising. Lanette is a member of the National Communications Honor Society, SigmaChi Eta and has served as a Board of Directors for the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Las Vegas Chapter, she also recently served on the advisory board for NTEN\'s 2018 conference and serves on the 2018 NTEN Editorial Board. Lanette holds a degree in Mass Communications and Media Studies from Arizona State University and continues to pursue her passion to contribute to the community, whether that mean marching the streets for human rights or raising money for homeless youth. Her interests include live music (any kind), hip hop, advocating, traveling, photography, and hanging out with her teacup Yorkie, Lucy.
